Mark attained his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (Visual Arts) in Windsor Ontario moving to Vancouver shortly thereafter. Mark found work in a small guitar factory, a perfect place to add to the audio and visual talent he already possessed. Here he built a solid knowledge of guitar construction and gained experience in Management, Human Resources, Safety and Quality Control.
Jason Friesen, having grown up playing guitars- and taking them apart, found his calling working in the same guitar factory where he met Mark. Jason has developed extensive knowledge in working with wood, and finely tuned skills in all aspects of guitar manufacture and repair, as well as knowledge and experimentation in the construction of other instruments.
It all started as a small project to construct a fine quality squareneck resophonic instrument for Mark to tour and perform with. The end result of that first resophonic generated such interest that it was clear we needed to build more. It has become our goal to produce quality resophonics that give people more bang for the buck! Our pledge is to continue to provide players with finely constructed, exquisite sounding instruments.
Our base model is solid birch back, top and sides with a honey tone, buffed finish.
Custom colours are available.
Padauk, flamed and quilted maple, cherry and mahogany are some of the woods we are currently using.
