The Ribbon Transducer SystemÅ is a small and uncomplicated active onboard pickup system that will capture the pure acoustic sound of your guitar better than any single pickup amplification system available. It installs easily and unobtrusively inside the guitar with no cosmetic alterations. It will enable you to simply plug your guitar into any PA or acoustic amp and sound great - with no hassle. For fingertip control of the volume and bass response, our exclusive optional volume and bass EQ control, the Remote ControlÅ, plugs into the preamp and mounts non-destructively onto the edge of the soundhole, without the need to cut any holes in your guitar for knobs.

The Ribbon Transducer sounds different from other undersaddle pickups because it is different. In fact, it is the world's only undersaddle microphone. Other undersaddle pickups rely on pressure variations from the saddle to generate their signal. In contrast, the signal of the patent pending Ribbon Transducer is generated by the deflection of the guitar top as it vibrates. This motion is analagous to the deflection of the diaphragm of a fine vocal mic in response to a singer's voice. The result is a smooth, open and effortless amplified sound with natural attack and unlimited dynamics. Basically the sound of the RT is the closest thing to the sound of a mic that you can get, without actually using a microphone, effortlessly reflecting the actual sound and dynamics of your instrument.

The Ribbon Transducer preamp utilizes purist audiophile circuitry that is usually reserved for the finest mic preamps and recording desks in the world. With its 100% discrete circuitry, pure Class A operation, no negative feedback, hand selected input FET and minimalist signal path, the RT Preamp is ghostly quiet and faithfully amplifies the glorious sound and dynamics of the RT.
